Our service covers enquiries for general steel fabrication, structural steel, metal components, sheet metal and bespoke assemblies. A supply-only component, a commercial building frame and a machine modification each need different information.
With your agreement, your project enquiry may be passed to a suitable local firm. The firm assessing the work will confirm its scope, capabilities, commercial terms and documentation before you place an order.
Standards Follow The Application
Structural steelwork specifications should identify applicable BS EN 1090 requirements, including technical execution under BS EN 1090-2. The designer and manufacturer need to agree the execution specification and the documents required for the package.
Welding fume controls are addressed under COSHH. Equipment used at work falls within the relevant PUWER duties, and construction work requires consideration of CDM 2015. These are project questions to resolve, rather than a blanket claim of certification.
Clarity Before Manufacture
We encourage written scopes, controlled drawing revisions and explicit design responsibility. Agree the dimensions, inspection requirements, finish, delivery and installation interfaces before releasing components for manufacture.
